After being invited to submit a grant proposal in early 2026, Trinity Academy was recently awarded a $100,000 grant from the Keller Foundation for construction of our new school building and campus. In making the grant, the foundation noted Trinity’s outstanding education, its rapid growth, and the remarkable generosity of our community in supporting our new school home.
After receiving the grant, Executive Director John Kurdelak shared, “Trinity Academy’s ambitious building project is happening because of generous people and organizations who have chosen to support our bold vision for our school and its role in the wider community. We deeply appreciate this amazing support from the Keller Foundation and the Keller family.”
The successful grant effort was led by Director of Development Ashley Mills, who also wrote the grant proposal. “It’s incredibly encouraging to see foundations like Keller recognize both the quality of education happening at Trinity and the long-term impact this new campus will have in North Portland,” said Mills.
In addition to the generosity of Keller Foundation, the entire $100,000 grant was doubled by a portion of the $5 million match provided by a Trinity supporter. The matched Keller Foundation grant brings the total of campaign gifts and commitments over $19.25 million. There is just over $1.2 million remaining on the match. This is the second grant that Trinity has received for the campaign from a local foundation; the school previously received a $250,000 grant from the JTMF Foundation.
