After months of detailed work by Trinity leadership and our project team, the City of Portland granted building permits in mid-July, allowing the construction of Trinity’s new home to commence.
With permit in hand, Todd Construction, the project’s general contractor, leapt into action. The permit was granted on a Wednesday afternoon; and by Monday morning, new construction fences were installed, erosion control was in place, and a team of excavators were on site moving dirt to set the building’s footprint. In addition, Portland General Electric has removed two power poles from the site, and installed one new pole to provide electricity to The Rectory (Trinity’s administrative offices). Electricity to the new school building will be underground.
Work continues in earnest, with a goal of completing construction and opening the building for the start of the school year in August 2027. The next milestone is completion of site grading so that work on the building’s foundation can begin.
